I went to ICRT!
Its funny how was just listening to ICRT on the car this morning, and this afternoon, I was in their office! During club time today, a few PAS alumni and I were driven to Taipei to record a commercial for our school. The commercial was only fifteen seconds and four lines in total, but it took us around almost half an hour to do the recording (and three hours if you include traveling time). I find that pretty ironic, but it was still a great experience. ICRT is probably the only radio I listen to on the car and I actually have wondered what their office looks like. And today, I got the chance to witness it myself! I got to see their voice control machine (what is that called?) and cool microphone. The four lines took us so many tries until we got it right. In the end, we had to cut and paste parts from different tries. The guy that did the recordings for us was pretty nice and helped us through the whole thing. We are supposed to sound excited and upbeat, which is different form usual talking and I felt just a tiny bit awkward sounding overly hyper. It was really an interesting experience. In the end, we took pictures with the ICRT signs and finally left to drive right back to school (...for chem class!)
